SURPRISE STICKMAN

The story of a man that transcends dimensions. Or rather, regresses. He is only the width of paper, after all.
Surprise Stickman is a slice of life/absurdist comedy/power fantasy series (the ‘power fantasy’ part coming from the fact a young guy could afford an entire terrace house to himself) about a very unfortunate stickfigure trying to start an ordinary adult life, but whom almost always finds himself caught up with strange characters, unbelievable creatures and bizarre locations – in a slither of reality entirely located within some shabby art gallery on Uxbridge Road. Will our protagonist make it to 30 with all his body parts in one place and with minimal mental scarring?

Volume 1: ‘The First One’
Has everything you’ve just read confused the hell out of you? Well tough. Also lore stuff is right below.

(in 2.5 dimensions)
CLYDE

- Full name: Clyde P. Anderson
- Born: 03/01/2005
- Plain of residence: The Stickfields
Our hapless central protagonist. Having just moved out (thanks to an old lady giving him her lottery money in the shop), Clyde is rearing to make a life for himself – how, he has no idea. Though he has a tendency to be awkward and antisocial, Clyde has a good heart – it’s just buried under layers of stress and desperation. Just so long as everything goes the way it should, things should be fine for Clyde. But alas, life has made sure to make things as unpredictable and stressful as possible – as life frequently does – which in Clyde’s case means surprise (get it?) encounters with dragons, gargoyles, kitsunes, demons and gods, damsels and warlocks, and – perhaps the most daunting of them all – his overbearing older sister.
his sister, KACEY

- Full name: Kacey K. Anderson
- Born: 27/05/1999
- Plain of residence: The Stickfields
Loud, athletic, and overwhelmingly friendly, Kacey could not be more opposite to her introverted younger brother Clyde. Out of complete sheer coincidence (not really), Kacey’s moved into the house parallel to Clyde’s around the exact same time, so she can continue to monitor host a conveniently local karate club for kids, and perhaps put her immense strength to an actual use. Kacey is selfless – almost to a strange degree – she never thinks about herself in dangerous situations, nor in more casual ones does she ever invite inquiries into her life. Could there be more to Kacey behind this obnoxiously optimistic attitude?
