FINAL LIGHT

7+ years in the making, Final Light is a science-fantasy comedy-drama series with elements of satire and mild horror sprinkled in for good measure. Set 100 million years into the future, it follows, over a couple series, a few generations of aliens (and some humans) living in a galaxy just around the corner from our own, as we follow their efforts to save civilization from the rapidly approaching heat death of the universe. But how ARE you going to save the galaxy when everyone’s so wrapped up in petty wars, gossip and indulgence?

Here, you’ll find each and every instalment to the Final Light saga, as well as some extras for the hell of it. If, after you’re finished reading and you don’t want to tear your eyeballs out, scroll down to catch up with some nice lore.

The Zingo Galaxy – a place plagued by gluttony, vapidity and petty politics; a cosmic territory unkempt and dangerous, though the incompetent aliens ruling it proclaim it as otherwise; a cesspool doomed to spiral into a new dark age of ignorance and stupidity.. So overall, quite a crappy place. One desperate for intellectual reformation, a boost in scientific progress and a fundamental shift in the galactic consciousness. At least, this is what Alkii, self proclaimed ‘Messenger of the Truth’, believes. Sent off into the galaxy by her like minded mother, Alkii’s mission is to recruit enough ‘disciples’ out of the galactic community in order to kickstart an era ‘brimming with excellent minds with the capacity to change the galaxy for the better’, just as her predecessors, the Creeki, would have wanted.
The problems start to arise when you take into account that 1, Alkii is only 12 years old, and no one seems to take her seriously – not that that matters because 2, the heat death of the Universe appears to be arriving early, with black holes and exploding stars causing trouble seemingly everywhere she goes. Oh, what is Alkii to do? But alas, our dear Messenger is not alone in her quest. With a handful of equally dysfunctional beings by her side – including the naive but well intentioned Galaxy Princess yearning to explore the cosmos, and a thespian ape-looking thing supposedly taken from a planet named after soil – will Alkii be able to accomplish her goal and save the galaxy? And possibly win the approval of those around her as a bonus?

PROTAGONISTS
ALKII

- Full name: Alkii, Daughter of Sheivae; Messenger of the Truth
- Age: 12 (nearly 13)
- Sex: Female
- Species: Paerillian
- Occupation: Messenger of the Truth
The self proclaimed ‘Messenger of the Truth’ who has ventured off into the bustling cosmos on a mission to ‘return the galaxy to an age of knowledge and science’ or whatever that means, and get intelligent life back on its path to glory. However, being in a galaxy already plagued by countless problems mostly to do with social issues, petty disputes and zizzifruit shortages, Alkii is seen as nothing more than a loudmouthed little brat by everyone who is unfortunate enough to encounter her. This isn’t even mentioning the fact that the galaxy seems to be decaying at an alarming rate, with black holes and the like sprouting up seemingly wherever Alkii goes. But, she is determined to accomplish her righteous mission, and isn’t willing to let anyone or anything slow her down.
FLINT

- Full name: Flint Ron Feathersworth
- Age: 30
- Sex: Male
- Species: Human (homo sapiens)
- Occupation: Living fossil
A strange ape-thing in a strange galaxy.. that is what the specimen who calls himself ‘Flint’ has found himself to be, ever since he was awoken by our dear Alkii from an inconceivably long sleep on an uninhabited planet. Having been booted from his primitive life as a mild mannered proofreader, this thespian endling has a lot to learn about the bustling cosmotropolis he now has to call home. (Because everywhere else is crumbling to pieces.)
OTHER IMPORTANT CHARACTERS
PITTIWICK

- Full name: Pittiwick Gabvink Salvink
- Age: 13
- Sex: Male
- Species: Lumbasgin
- Occupation: Unlicensed inventor
A passionate but rather strange young alien boy who crafts gadgets and machinery of varying degrees of usefulness, to the dismay of everyone around him except his parents. Because they’re not here. Thanks to their absence, Pittiwick is able to fill the house with dozens upon dozens of bits of junk, functional or otherwise. Not to mention he eats, drinks and breathes junk food and doesn’t seem to have changed clothes in a year. He smells like ass. However, once you look past these incredibly off-putting physical aspects, you’ll find a chirpy young soul with an infectious ‘can-do’ attitude and a definite talent for constructing things, which Alkii will probably not find a lot of use for in her journey across the cosmos.
MINOR CHARACTERS
PINKY AND MANLER

A couple of police officers on the hunt for the young Alkii, ever determined to put an end to her tirade of false intellectualism so that they don’t lose their police licenses. Pinky (the short brown one) is the de facto head of the two, mostly due to his outspoken nature and him having been on the force much longer than his dimwitted partner Manler (the tall pink one), who was pulled from an existence of blissful janitorial ignorance and thrown into the considerably more intense one of a galactic officer. It doesn’t seem to bother him much. He likes biscuits.
